"This Machine Surrounds Hate and Forces it to Surrender"

First of all,,,, it's Pete's 90th Birthday........... so , Happy Birthday to him !! I'll give ya a real old one from Pete,,,

"What did ya learn in School"...... If you have not seen "The Power of Song" you should go rent it or find it,,,, it is an excellent story of Pete's life,,,, and I always think it ironic that when Pete was banned from appearing on TV,,, and most other places would not book him,, or the Weavers , the only audience he could get was at Schools,,, So he sang his songs for Elementary and Middle school children,,, and GREATLY influenced the lives of those children,,, - that would have never happened without him being "Black Listed" and those children grew up listening to Seeger music,, years later .. protesting the war, and working for Cleaner rivers, and starting the whole Ecology movement ,,,, Damn Hippies ! Any way this song reminds me of that...

Then Pete with a few friends, at President Obama's inauguration

And if never saw Pete and Arlo,,, you missed out,,,

We have been very fortunate to see them many times,,,, the last at Beacon High school,,, where Peter,, at the time just 88,, was as good that night as ever !!

It's "Way out There" and Lonesome Valley

Oh,,, BTW... the title "This Machine Surrounds Hate and Forces it to Surrender" is the inscription on Pete's 5 string Banjo...
