So ,, is it odd to know when and where it began,, and when and where it will end.

I saw that Medal, and asked about it.,.. that was 364 days ago. IT started then and there...

The work started on  Jan 13th...innocent enough 4 miles from Wilderness lodge to Fort wilderness Campground, and back... in a day when the right Hamstring was so injured that it could not move the leg in front of the left leg,, and if I was not minful,,, it would drag the foot to the point that I would trip.

It is within Each person the ability to do Great Things - this Touchstone is the Challenge..

the Journey has gone over 360 days...  over 2000 Miles, heck , I could have run from Staatsburg, to Orlando !...  funny it will end less than 2 miles from where it started..

It was run in Many towns ,, Staatsburg, Hopewell, Lagrangeville, Pleasant Valley, Albany, Duck, Corolla,  Woodstock, Putnam Valley to name a few,...

in 5ooo meters to 20 mile chunks,,, in the rain, snow,,, from 9 degrees to 90 ...
Dozen of Pee breaks, ONE defecation,, 2 Pukes,... a dozen Toe nails, more then a FOOT full of blisters,
Gallons of Gatorade,,, Packets of GU,,, countless Power Bars... Leg Cramps , Abdominal stitches.   up hills , down hills, flat .,.. roads., sidewalks, trails, thru Streams, a few State parks,  Races from 16 miles, to 3 miles, funny I did not feel the need to race more... IT was done on days I felt grreat,. on days I felt like shit,, pumped up , tired, pissed..  in Shorts, Singlets, Sweatshirts, Lycra ,  gloves and Hats.. Hours upon hours of Music,,, one - only one,  thank god - Dog attack... 3 close calls with Cars....

It will end  in the parking lot Behind SpaceShip Earth , just outside EPCOT.. near a year after the Start , less than 2 miles from where I started it all,... it will end Sunday,, about noon,,, in Sweat, and I guarantee ,,, Tears ,, in an emotional rush that is like no other...I thank the Hat and Sun Glasses to hide from others at that Moment,.. hey - men are after all LIONS... It will end with hand shakes, and Hugs, pats on the back,,  Medals around the neck &  T-shirts that can then be worn proudly, as they are all the Reward that is given for ALL this  WORK.

It is a Challenge not taken Lightly,,, it is Hard WORK ,,,, There is a reason  Phidippides Died after running 26.2 Miles from Marathon to Athens ,  its Hard WORK....   SO,,, this Penguin like runner will be up to  that Challenge on SATURDAY and SUNDAY,..,.. after all the work is done,,, and the GOOFYness is just about  begun..
