It aint that Bad a Thang

Listen,,it  is not that bad a thing,,,, it really is not.

There comes a time in  life ,, well in most peoples lives - I don't know about you and yours ,,,, but the point is that you realize that you are never gonna be more than you  are today..not going to accomplish more that you have, not achieve much more, DO much more,,,

.  Not that it is a Bad thing to come to grips with.   No Trip to Alaska,,, no big promotion at work ,  won't ever buy  that retirement property,,, I'm not flying the Space Shuttle or Splitting the Atom, , never gonna write a  Novel, or play a guitar,  or  ..  well you get the Idea.... you are not waiting to die exactly. But the BIG stuff - the Really BIG stuff is outta reach , Physically,, financially, realistically

You are gonna be about exactly what you  (I am) today.....  and whats so awful....?  I have a great Family,,, we don't talk as much as other Families, (probably my fault)  but its a good solid Family. I have a good job,, difficult and stressful , but pays far more than a High-School graduate like me could ever think to be paid to do this,,,,, nice house,, not great , but nice, small, and easier to maintain, a small yard with some flowers and trees,,, and a nice green lawn thanks to Lawn doctor.   You realize - that at some point - you have had enough of doing what you have been doin for 33 years,,,,  and a job that you have been doing for nearly 30 of those 33,,, you want to move on,, do something else ,, live somewhere else, do something different , build something ....   Renovate something,,,   OR  do you wait till its too late,, you are too old,,, too ill,,, to infirm,   then those things that you may have thought of as Dreams when you were younger are now the nightmare  things that haunt you -

"Is a Dream a lie that don't come true,, or is it something worse?  exactly ...

So - what you gonna do ??

do you know what a Vector is ?  IT is quantity possessing both Direction and Magnitude. A Plane going  100 mph  (Speed / Magnitude)  headed North by Northwest (Direction) ... so I think of this as kinda having Magnitude , BUT , but ,,,,no direction.... the moth fluttering around the light bulb,,,  you get the idea.  Moving  however , not going anywhere...

The Song of AIR and WATER

Did I tell the story of the women in front of me at the car wash,,, ?  that soaped & rinsed &brushed  & rinsed, &  soaped and rinsed and  and RAIN -X applied and rinsed,,, and soaped and rinsed and - OMG , what the hell I had three choices of Wash stalls to line up behind,,, and I see her rinsing ,, and choose her,, little did I know  that Rinse was the be the 1st of many !!!

Now,,, this weekend I get thru the car wash OK,, well its not even 7am,,, so not many peeps there,
Little bit cold ,, but no issue...  now I go to Stewart's to get some air in my tires,,.....   the one on 55 has a fancy inflater,, that you set the air digitally,, and then it rings when your tire reaches that pressure,,,, mad cool,,,,,   so now there is a quiz,,,, the guy in front of me in an old Crown Victoria is getting air in his tires, I am next,,,,  SO the question is how many times do you need to visit each tire ,,, and by asking the question,, you now know the answer is more than one,,,, it was three for the Backs and Two from the Fronts.........

That time he characterized the rollout of his travel ban as "smooth""We had a very smooth rollout of the travel ban; we had a bad court."

That time he called the country of Russia fake news
"Russia is fake news. Russia – this is fake news put out by the media. The real news is the fact that people, probably from the Obama administration because they’re there, because we have our new people going in place, right now."

That time he offered a nuanced critique of Hillary Clinton's record as secretary of state"Hillary Clinton did the reset, remember? With the stupid plastic button that made us all look like a bunch of jerks. Here, take a look. He looked at her like, 'What the hell is she doing?' With that cheap plastic button. Hillary Clinton. That was a reset. Remember it said 'Reset'? Now if I do that oh, I'm the bad guy."

That time he offered a nuanced assessment of his own performance at said press conference
"I'm not ranting and raving. I'm just telling you you're dishonest people."

That time he grew tired of all the tough questions
"I want to find a friendly reporter."

That time he was asked about Melania's role as first lady
"That is what I call a nice question. ... She – like others, like others that she's working with – feel very, very strongly about women's issues, women's difficulties."

That time he responded to a question – from a Jewish reporter – about the uptick in threats against Jewish organizations"OK, sit down. ... So here's the story, folks. Number one, I am the least anti-Semitic person that you've ever seen in your entire life. Number two, racism – the least racist person."


That time he assumed a black reporter would be friends with black members of CongressApril Ryan: "When you say the inner cities, are you going to include the CBC, Mr. President, in your conversations with your urban agenda, your inner-city agenda?"
Trump: "Am I going to include who? hahahaha

Talkiing Baseball

While it is still a few days til Pitchers and Catchers report to Spring Training,,,   I am starting to read concerns about the Length of the games,   and the "pace" of the Sport,,,  here are a few of the - what I call - Stupid changes that are being suggested,.

Make the Strike Zone Larger - really - how about just call the Strike zone where it is today,,,the Rules say , Hollow behind the Knee to midpoint of the shoulder,,, you rarely see anything above the Waist Called a strike,.

Change to 2 Strikes for  a Strike out
3 Balls for a walk
Ok don't screw with the Fiber of the Game,,,, it's 3 strikes and 4 Balls.

Start every inning with a  runner on 2nd base,   Huh ?? what's that gonna Do ? how did he get there? does it count against the pitcher ? are you going to say that the 1st batter cannot bunt ,,, cause thats what gonna happen in 90 % of the situations. and who is the Runner ,, a position player? Is he in the Game, or  can he still come in as a substitute player.. My god what a dumb ass idea,

20 Seconds to throw a pitch,, or its a BALL
20 seconds for the Batter to get in the Box  or its a Strike    I might be ok with this .,,, there are certainly situations that the pitcher or the batter would need more time - critical time int he Game and all,,, but yes,,,  I have been at blowouts - where the pitcher or Batter is dealing with it like is game 7 of the Series - when its 15 to 1 in the 8th inning,,,   I might like that the Pitcher has to get right back on the rubber - no walking around the Mound, and batter has to keep a foot in the Batters box,,,

Have a max times the catcher can go talk to the Pitcher - similar to visits to the Mound by the Coach or manager,,,   again ,,, I could go for this - you see visit after visit by the Catcher to the Mound,,

 I say  - call the Strike Zone correctly and Make the batter stay in the Box and pitcher on the mound,, and it will speed things up...  and can we get both leagues to play by the same rules ? Either a designated hitter or NOT... especially now with the unbalance of the teams there is always a NL .vs AL series - Oh and my least favorite thing that BB does is expanding the roster to 40 men on September 1st,,,   Ok,, I get why they do it,, but how about this simple twist.  have your 40 men roster with the Team on September 1st,, However the manager has to name the 25 guys that are eligible to play that game - Just like every other game...  25 players,,,  wanna leave all your other starters off the GAME roster for that night - FINE , you are essentially doing that anyway,,, but now you still gotta say what 25 are eligible to play,, so at least there you can't go lefty - righty pitcher, batter changes every batter,,,,

Ok,, it snowed, you would think the world came to and end Jesus Christ can we GROW UP ! You dont need 3 gallons of milk and a dozen more eggs and a loaf of bread for one God Damn Day !!

I will rev up to get another Trump like rant over the weekend,,,  I think our country is now a laughing stock around the world,, they can;t believe what comes out this a holes mouth,,,,

But we can start with WHY the TRUMPs and that dumb ass he has for an advisor - Kellyann -- are promoting Trump business??  I'll tell you why,, they have not divested themselves from these business and stand to make millions by their influence in the White house and passing legislation that favors what they are selling.. If you think they have ,, you got your head in the  Sand,,,  This is guy that told everyone that products should be made in the USA to support our workers , while he made shirts in Bangladesh  - ok,,it was a few years ago,,, but just listen to it,,,,, Great thing these days is as they said on Oceans Eleven - there is always somebody watchin ,,,,
