A little night Music ,,,,,

 A band that we saw way back Before they had any hits,, before they became Famous...

They would play at The Chance - nearly every month,, and maybe more ofter than that.  The Band was John Hall, Larry and Lance Hoppen, and Wells Kelly..  Played much of their own music,, and always did Beatles songs as Encores.  Good Times.

John and his ex Johanna wrote many many songs,,, that were covered by others,,,, Janis Joplin included Half Moon on her LP Pearl ,, Give one Heart recorded by Linda Ronstadt on Hasten Down the Wind...

John and Wells would change places with John playing the drums, and Wells on lead guitar,,, he did a song BUM...   and others,, 

Wells died in 1984,,, drugs and alcohol consumed his life... Larry Hoppen died in 2012 - took his own life...  Lance Continues to play and produce music , mostly in Nashville,,,  John Hall was a congressman from NY for a term, but went back to music, recently releasing the album Reclaiming my Time in 2021.

 In no particular order - but just so I get these thing out of my head....

- They and the THEY in this case was Congressional Oversight committee lead by Republicans, - investigated Hillary's Email deal,,, and she testified for 11 hours before that committee ,,, - they found Nothing,,, Nothing,, and btw - she did not invoke the 5th amendment once. 

- So the Urine soaked Cheeto man - who led rallies that chanted "Lock her up " referring to Hillary,,was so concerned with the Retention of Presidential records - that he signed a law the increased the penalty for  that crime from 1 year to 5 years and made it a FELONY !!!  yup - he did that.

- The calls for violence are totally insane - attacking FBI agents ?? Violence agains the Judge that signed the Search Warrant ?? against his family ? Calling for the Beheading of a Congressman, his wife and his children??  Is this who you support ???  

- Calling for the end of the FBI  ?? For the end of Homeland Security ??  I cannot give time to the Assholes that are calling for these things .... I don' think they understand what those organizations do...  and how is this different from the Defund the police ... that they were all against,, (rightly so).

- You do know that Dump could make public (like he did that the Search warrant was executed) .. the Actual search Warrant - that would describe in some general level of detail what the FBI was looking for. and then the Receipt part - which would describe in a general way , what was taken. 

- I got a kick out of FOX entertainment people that were crazed over the FBI having AR15's with them during the serving of the Warrant...  so it's ok for children (18 year olds) to have as many as they like,,, but we draw the line at the FBI Agents carrying them- get the F out  ! 

What I hear

 I have heard and read - that the Radical right wants to Defund and cancel the F.B.I. - THE FBI ..

#1 - I thought they were for Law and order

#2 - what about being against what they Call "Cancel Culture"

#3 - they do realize that the Head of the FBI - Christopher Wray - was appointed by ..... Trump

#4 - In that Dump was the one that broke the story about the FBI serving a Warrant at MaraLoco... they can release a Copy of that Warrant - Can't they... and BTW - the FBI has to document what was it that they removed from the residence under the Warrant.  SO let's see it ! OR would that change their narrative? 

#5 - Yes - this in unprecedented - as Dump is Presidential. 

#6 - Listen to what the THEY are saying,.... do you hear anyone saying that they found nothing ??  That they removed nothing ??  That there were no records in Dumps possession that should have never been removed from the White House. and then after further discussion should have been RETURNED, - noooooooo  they are attacking the FBI - the ones that and I would 100% bet had their eyes dotted and Tees crossed (Hannity said it ASS backwards - as he is an  a$$) That they swore out this warrant - as to be very specific - as to be working with the National Archives - where all presidential records need to go, that they then convinced a Federal Judge that there was evidence of a Crime, and that they then took the evidence of that crime from the residence..  That they were 100000% sure of what they were doing,, and I wonder who it is on the "Inside" as they say that is giving the FBI information... ??? hummmmm

#7 - As far as Hillary's emails,,, the FBI and DOJ investigated those claims, and found - yes there were documents on a personal server, but they declined to prosecute, and oh BTW - Hillary Testified on those emails and the Bengazy tragedy for over 10 hours before an over-sight committee... and not once did she invoke the 5th amendment.

And I get a big laugh out of Congressmen saying that they want a Complete Congressional review of this,,, when they were and are the ones that are blocking the January 6th committee - that are doing a complete review of that !!

 so-  people that support and continue to support the FAR right conservative agenda are fucked in the head. 

We have people in congress that attend a CPAC convention to hear a NAZI speak - An autocratic leader from another country  that talks about elimination of LGBTQ rights, or eliminating Mixed Marriages, so that his heritage does not get diluted ,,, like what - are we talking racial ,, black wihite?   or No Italians marrying Irish, and no Chechs marrying english ???  Fucking really ???  And this is a man that recently discussed GAS Chambers as a way to rid his country of the unwned (according to him) people... yea...

WE had a congress-person praying with a January 6th insurrectionist in a made up jail cell at the Convention...  This same Congress person - calling herself a Christan Nationalist - clearly invoking Hitler philosphy,,,,

We have BO BO - another GOP congress Person - saying that the Constitution guarantees us the right to Life Liberty and Happiness,  that - hey just read it ,, its right there in the Constitution...

Ummmm- Listen BO BO ---  It's not in the fucking constitution ! that is the Declaration of Independence !

That the Insurrectionist that carried a Gun into the Capitol building got 7 years in Jail.... for listening to and following the Urine Soaked Cheeto man,,,, all these people being jailed cause the believed the LIE --- the BIG Lie the stolen election LIE - I have no sympathy for you - go rot in the Cell - and oh - do you know who turned that guy into the FBI.....  HIS Son .. yep - his own son,

I can go on and on,,,,,,  SO listen- IF you support these type of people, vote for these type of people,,, stand for wha they stand for..... then the down fall of this nation is on you ,.   when thing are going to hell in a hand basket  - Your Responsibility !

I was only lucky enough to get to see her sing live one time - at  Saratoga performing arts in the '70's

If you search set lists , you can probably find the Show-and maybe even the songs that she sang. In those days, the Band was  : Andrew Gold, Kenny Edwards, Brock Walsh, Danny Dugmore, Wadda Wachtel, and Russ Kunkel, Wendy Waldman on backup vocals....  

and songs like Desperado, When will I be loved, You're No good, Allison, Willin, Blue Bayou, It's So easy, Tumblin Dice, Poor poor Pitiful me, Love me Tender , Ooh  OOh Baby, Mohamed's Radio, and Back in the USA.. Were all staples back in those days...

PACT Act

The Senate voted Tuesday night to pass a long-sought bipartisan legislation to expand health care benefits for millions of veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their military service, sending the bill to President Joe Biden to sign into law. The final vote was 86-11.

Passage of the bill marks the end of a lengthy fight to get the legislation through Congress, as veterans and their advocates had been demonstrating on Capitol Hill for days. Many veterans were allowed into the Senate gallery to watch the final vote on Tuesday evening.

You must be aware of what went on around the passage of this bill...  a Bill that 1st passed the Senate a few months back I think the vote was 84 - 14 ....  And then it had to be sent back to the House for some wording changes, and when it returned to the Senate many of the GOP senators that votes to pass the bill - last week voted against it.  Saying that the Democrats had added $400 Billion dollars to the bill in kinda a slush fund / Pork as they say - totally unrelated to the Act that is intended to help Veterans and their families that are affected by what they call "Toxic Burn pits" - that date back to the Vietnam era thru the wars in the mid east. 

SO - as I say.... 

if you are a Right Wing conservative / Republican ... let me ask you this...... and it's only one answer.

Are you :

A) pissed that The GOP senators that were high five-ing and fist bumping as they celebrated the Bills defeat last week, LIED TO YOU.   LIED TO YOUR FACE - that there was no added money, NO PORK added to the bill..   That they Simply LIED about it.  And you then defended them.... so you look like an Asshole.  

OR 

B) You are Pissed today that they passed the Bill - With the (well not really) $400 Billion slush fund attached. 

It can only be one of those - right!!??
