So much for all the Wild Card scenarios that I had,,, 3 way tie ,, 4 way tie,,,,,
As it usually happens,,, none of it was correct... It's Yankees .vs Red Sox in Boston... for the right to go lose the ALDS to the Tampa Bay Rays....
Sox were down early to the Nats ,, I think it was 5 - 1 ,,,, but came back, and won that game 7 to 5... and the Yankees who only had one hit going into the bottom of the 9th yesterday managed 3 agains the Ray Bullpen to score a walk off run.... Truth be told ,, the bullpen bent but did not break,,, they pitched a shutout against a Rays team that had absolutely nothing to play for. I gotta give the Rays a shoutout here..... they could not win any more,,, or get themselves a better place in the playoffs,,, they had sewn up best record in the AL and home field advantage for as far as they go in the AL playoffs but yet played the Yankees hard, like there was something on the line...... Yankees got led off hit from Odor, who was pinch run for by Tyler Wade,,, a long fly to center moved Wade to 2nd base,,,, Rizzo hit a long single to right center,,, and Wade got to 3rd ,,, and almost as importantly - Rizzo moved to 2nd base on the throw in..... so it took away the Double play possibility ..... so you had Judge and Stanton to get one hit... Judge hit a rocket off the pitchers glove on a 1-2 count... and by the time it got to the 2nd basemen,, he made a good throw home,, but Wade was too fast and slid home with the winning run.....
