Not bad enough that every Major league Stadium has used every inch of billboard, Fences, grandstands on posting advertisement - some stadiums going to so far as to erect Billboards behind the Outfield seats expressly for the purpose of Posting ADS on them,. and now - They can project onto the Backstop and the Field and Behind the pitchers mound additional Advertisements and change them often , even several times an inning.
This year they went with Arm Patches ON THE UNIFORMS - that are paid ads .... and smartly put them on the forward facing sleeve of each batter - lefties . vs righties - they get to the tune of $7 to $8 million per team.
NOW they have gone so far as putting ADS on the batting Helmets of ALL THE TEAMS - The AD is for a German Apparel Company that has "partnered with " MLB - you can read that as They paid MONEY to MLB to put that on all the playoff Helmets - both sides. While not made public - the figure is around the $15 - $20 Million mark - that will include the Playoff teams this year and next and ALL minor league teams for entire season.
The Nike Swoosh has been added to all uniforms - since 2019 or 2020 - that is a 10 year deal worth $1 Billion Dollars.
MLB in 2023 had a revenue of Over $11 Billion Dollars ... How long before MLB uniforms look like Nascar Drivers race suits - with dozens and dozens of Advertisers on them -
