Anyway - I don't like to talk work much here,,, BUT - here is the essence of a phone call I received last night at ~6:30pm.
me - XXXXXXX Marina ,,,,,
Them - Hello - I was up there earlier today and went on a Kayak Paddle on the River,,,,,
Me - Ok - how can I help you
Them - I got home and I can;t seem to find one Item that I had,,, I think I left it over by the Kayak ramp..
me - Ok - What is the ITEM - and if you hold I'll go look ,,,,,
Them - It's a White shirt with a 6 foot Snake skin in it..
me - A white shirt with a snake skin in it??
Them - Yes - I had it there and I can't find it...
me - Ummmm ok - let me go look
What are the chances that there are several White shirts that have been left behind,,, and ONE oif the Many has a Snake skin in it !!! WTF ?!?!?!?
me - No sir there is no shirt and no snake skin in the Kayak ramp area..
Them - ok - TY for looking - Ill have to keep checking here,, maybe OI miss placed it !!

Turn the Page
And so it has begun,,,,
May 1st the Marina came back to Life - 6 months of boating and sailing begins, and does not end - obviously - till Halloween !!
What does this mean ? That my morning hours are over ,,, and I start working evenings,,, noon to 8 or 3 to 8pm ... Launching and trailering boats, Retail sales,,, Whew ! exhausting ! (read that as sarcastic) The "real" work at this job is before the Marina opens and after it closes )April and November) ,,, during the season its a pretty sweet gig,... beautiful setting on the Hudson - fantastic Sunsets, Wildlife viewing, Eagles, Osprey, fox, coyotes, beavers, muskrat, a rare sighting of a lynx or bobcat and last year a black bear. Yea - gotta put up with a few P.I.A. folks - but the far majority are very friendly , nice people... So you can find me there several evenings a week,,,,
The POTUS is now constantly saying that Biden does not matter, but he and his henchmen can't seem to answer a question of make a Tweet without mentioning him - Biden clearly is getting under their skin. Now - will Joe with the Democratic nomination - I am not sure,,,, can he beat Dump in an election ,,, I think he can,,,, I do agree with his message that 4 more years of a Dump presidency will forever change this nation,,, and may destroy the Republic that we know.
I believe that even of the Impeachment vote cannot be won in the Senate, that the House of Representative has a Constitutional obligation to Go forward with Impeachment proceedings.
Let me go with these today....

3 topics on a Sunday
1st - am I having a Stroke ? Everything on the Right side of my Body is failing !
I cannot sleep on my right side because it kills my Shoulder to do that..... Ok - its sore all the time, and something is happening in there cause My hand goes numb to the point of pain - like its on fire, and I dare not hold anything in it for fear I drop it. (and I do)
My right knee is swelled up like a balloon, , sore to the touch and painful ,, and forget about kneeling on it,,, BTW ,, did you know that when you kneel you always lead with the same knee??? you - well at least I do,,, and Now I have to stop and kneel with the left one,,,
My back is sore on the right side o but thats always,
and I just had a cancerous growth removed from my right ear - the stitches are out and that seems to be healing nicely. But that has been sore and swelled up - as you might expect after surgery,,, and that also prevents me from sleeping on my right side - ugh !
Topic #2 - I gotta say - the yankee replacements for all the damn guys on the DL are doing the job - so far...they are a game and a half back from the Tampa bay rays, and 3 games ahead of the Blue jays , 6 games up on the Bosox ....
Topic #3 - Why I do and you need to support Independent Radio..in our case its WDST
Here is an example of why.
You know that WDST does Live Lunch Concerts - 30 minute shows on the Utopia Sound stage, - same building that the Radio is housed in and just across teh parking lot from the Bearsville Theater.
We have seen al least 12 - 15 shows there - with a free lunch - over the past year or two..
Last week we saw the Felice brothers - a local band that is on the verge of really getting to main stream music. they have had a few songs that have gotten some notice (other than DST or NPR radio) - they had a song in the movie about the Billboards outside somewhere or other - the movie won some awards and their song - RADIO SOJNG - was used in the movie.
anyway they are days away from releasing a new CD - UNDRESS- so this was a good opportunity from them also to showcase those songs. they started with an excellent song - about a kid , and reminds up that the sins of the child are yours and mine ,,, just a good song.. Well - I get home after the show ,, and I even thought the Album is streaming on NPR radio - I cant find that song,,,, I re review their latest albums to see if its hiding in there,,, but NO - I can't find the song,, I Email - one WDST 's on air folks who is also their music director, - MaryKate - goes by MK - We met her on the DST cruise the year before, so I thought maybe - she would answer,,,,,, She does - like 15 minutes later,, she says she thinks the song is called Ghost town NY, and only mention she can find is in a blog that IAN Felice was playing it in 2017.... I go back and look at play lists from that year - and I see a song called THE KID (newsong) listed in the Set list.... I email her back thanking her for the response and saying that I see the song in the playlists in 2017,,, and I wonder - why would they open with as song that was NOT on the new CD .. MK again nearly immediately responds, and she says - yea - its driving her nuts - she says she had James Felice's cell number - so she is gonna call him and ask..... James tells her - that indeed the song is called "The KID" and NPR screwed up and omitted the song when the uploaded the CD to their web site and is really impressed that someone noticed it !!! How about that !
A listener emails a radio station DJ- that DJ contacts a member of the band, and he responds with the answer,,,, THAT is independent Radio ! You are part of the station !!

I am not sure how you survive this ..... I know that Boone says - that guys need to step up - that the
players need to continue to play hard till the regulars get back,.... BUT come on,, let's be serious. 1st - NO ONE is gonna feel sorry for you ,, NO ONE,.. and BTW - the BOSOZ are not going to keep playing as bad as they have been,,,, they will be there in the end.... and WATCH out for the Tamp Bay Rays - they finished with 90 some wins last year.... but they happened to play in the AL east where Boston had 108 and NY had 100 wins,,,,, so they - the Rays - are a legit contender
I think they are in a survival mode.... remember where they are right now - April 21 - 20 game sin Yanks are at .500 - 10 wins - 10 losses.. Let's see where they are when they get these guys back now you ain't gettin all the guys back ,,, but let say 3 or 4 of the 7 - Judge , Stanton, Andujar, Sanchez and Hicks.
Don;t tell me about how well Clint Frazier is playing - he IS - however - when Hicks or Stanton is ready to return it will be a decision to send someone down - someone that has options left that can be sent to AAA - and no ya can't send Stanton or Hicks to the Minors ... don't be stupid ! Go educate yourself on the rules that govern this.....

Wish I had a better plan
I wish I had a better life plan,,,, for work , for retirement, for ,.... I dunno...
Sometime it feels like everything is controlling me, and I am in charge of nothing... yea,, I don't need counseling to gain self esteem ,, I just wish I had a better plan...
#1 - I need to go to work with now... but rest assured (what ever that means) I will be back to finish this... Remind me to talk about music next time also

- Kinda Dizzy in the mornings now.
- Can't wait to see Jeffery Gaines at 'DST on Thursday evening.
_ I was hoping that they signed Gio Gonzalez a few years ago before hw went to the Nats
- I want it to be warmer now - for a guy that always wanted to live in Vermont/New Hampshire/Maine - I am hating on the Cold weather this year , and thinking maybe Kentucky/ Tennessee is more for me.
- I am gonna be late for work today !
