yea yea,,, the f-ingRed Sox are going toClinch the AL east one of these days and the Yankees are holding on to a 2 1/2 game lead in the  Wild Card race, hoping to host that one game playoff... 
Before last nights game ,,,, you would have thought that IF they get to set up their rotation for the one game,,,, you would line it up to be Masahiro Tanaka ...   Severino showed you last night why you can't just forget him...  7 innings - one run on 6 hits, 6 k's and 1 walk... not shabby.....

If there is a better sound than your Grandson running toward you yelling Grandpa !! Grandpa  Grandpa !! and hugging you  ....   when you pick him up from after-school care and daycare - I don't know what it is,,,, the folks there just kinda look at you and say , well I guess you are his Grandpa huh ??  Now if I can just master those damn car seats ! We did not have these back in the day,,, these are are a combination of NASA and NASCAR technology - with the 5 part harness and all .. oh - and I still can't get the Babies Cradle holder out of that GD seat - no matter how many Buttons you push,, !!

We are starting to discuss moving out of this area and possibly to another State, Vermont or Pennsylvania  are the only real choices.  This possibly a fools errand. The Idea is to get a larger home for Family (we have no Friends) to come visit, and maybe near a Ski area so that would be an attraction. We have always wanted a log home - so we are starting there. As you might suspect this Market is all about location location location,,,  I found the perfect home , 3 Bedrooms, essentially two master Bedrooms , 2 plus baths, 2400 SW ft. All modern appliances,  a big ass fireplace ,, several Acres, a large 9 foot tall basement.  Simply a beautiful home - under $190K,,, SO now you are wondering where is this  ??  a Place Called Deposit, NY. As someone once said ,,, "I spent a week there  - one afternoon" ..  population 1700..... right,,, put this place in the lower Vermont and near a ski area, and its $400 K easy !!   So - no one would ever intentionally visit  DEPOSIT NY
I'll keep you updated - I am not sure we can even qualify for a mortgage now that we are retired !!

and ,,,I am - of course  - working today and tomorrow,,,,   today will be pretty lonely,,,, no co- workers after about noon,,, and mid week  - I doubt that I see many boaters,,,
I do have this weekend off - 1st Saturday and Sunday in months,,, and of course there are not stock car races to go to !

This week is a mess............

I have been painting,,  and sanding,,, ok I guess the other way round,,,  Sanding drywall and painting ceilings and walls,,,   walls look great,, ceiling is so - so..  We removed these fake wood beams that were glued to the the ceiling,,, in spots the paper came with them, and tin other spots the glue stayed there,,,, so after  scraping and coating and sanding,,, we should have just put new sheet rock up - it would have looked better and taken less time.  So we will see wha the home owner thinks,,

Walls need coat #2 and paint the heat vents, and the White trim, and install floor moldings and crown moldings,,  and then Whoosh - DONE !

Oh - my typing is a bit difficult ,,, as a managed to put a nail right thru my nail on my right  middle finger while I was removing them from the old Moldings,,,  Ouch and then some ....

Better not rain this Thursday,,,, I just spent the longest afternoon / Evening of my life at the Marina on Monday,, in the rain..  It is the only day that I remember it rained all day,,,, lighter and harder at times but all day...   NOT one person came down , nill, nada , no-one. I power washed some stuff and Cleaned all the light pedestals,,,  and was soaked ot the skin,,,  and bored to tears.....  we will see about Thursday,,,,

Now - lets discuss exactly where the helI think that my life is headed....  Do you have a life plan ? Like a business plan ? Immediate is easy...  1 year , 5 year ? 

An Upline - PRICK - Manager I used to work for - Willi Stark  - used to tell me thatI needed to show him a plan so he could shit all over me when I deviated from that plan,,,, never thought that I would survive him.  He literally fired me an nearly a daily basis.  

Ok - so Whats the Plan ?? Where do I really wanna be in 1 year ? Still working the Same Job ? I love working at the Marina ...  but keeping that job might mean that I sacrifice other things, like relocating. Can't live in New Hampshire or Upstate NY and work at this Marina ! Speaking of ... how do I start that , I do not have endless resources,,, I can't afford a nice place. I could afford a fixer upper. Which BTW - I would rather buy.  But it Seems that l the ads I read thatI can afford are what they Call "OFF THE GRID" That means no Power ,,,,, ugh ,,can't deal with that,....  

Let us just look at a possibility:  and then What order do things come in 

What if you look at 5 years and work backwards....

- Living in a new location

- Driving a different Car

- 90% finished working on the home I bought,,,

- Have time for my own wood work, or part time job.

- Buy a Truck (should be easy - right?)

- Locate and purchase a new house - 

   - more than 2 bedrooms

   - 2 plus baths or the possibility of adding a bath to an existing home

   - 10 Acres or More

   - Out Buildings or multiple car garage to have room for a wood shop.

   - Close , but not too close to services, food, medical, etc

   -  3 -4 hours from the Grand children 

   -  OK if it needs lots of TLC - just no Structural , foundations, etc,

   - Log home good, lake house Excellent

- Sell this house - I don't think I can sell this house while living here.

Second prize is a set of Steak Knives. YEA - that 1st person will be thought of as an American Hero..... everyone else that is and has been covering for this madman will have egg on the Face FOREVER. 

Of course tRump has strong words for this person.  In a tweet, Trump said that if “the anonymous person does indeed exist, the New York Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!”  Turn them over to the Government at once ?? WTF does this sound like ?  And he again told the Country - do not listen to "them" only Listen to him. Great - an advocate for Dictatorship. And And And - I continue to hear shit that the Economy is good so he is doing a good Job ! Just listen to him, that he is a better President than anyone in history ! What a F-ing A hole !

I believe that we are - and have been - at a cross Roads in American History ,,,that the institutions that this country was founded on are in peril by this President. the things we took for granted are not as solid as you thought. That there may not be a country like we knew Before and this maniac is responsible for its ruination.

Kavanaugh presented himself during a marathon day of questioning as an independent judge with an open mind, refusing to be pinned down on legal questions involving abortion, guns and executive power.  Just listen to this guy try to refute all the opinions he has written about many important issues of today as if he never heard of them, as if all of do not know exactly he will vote on Issues. What Bull SHIT  

Lastly - lets talk Yankee Baseball. Or what I think today is the struggle to hold on to the Lead in the Wild Card race. The AL east belongs to the REDSOX.  They spilt the 1st two game sin Oakland, and when they had the opportunity to make their lead 5 1/2 games with their "ace" on the mound - Severino goes out and lays an Egg , going just 2 2/3 innings and giving up 6 hits and 6 runs,, and the lead is now 3 1/2 as the Yankees go to Seattle.  Judge and DiDi remain out. So the offense struggles, and the Starting pitching has been terrible. If you are confident tht the yanks can win the one game wildcard playoff game against the A's - I do not know what team you are watching..... Who would you start ???  Our best starter over the past 6-8 games is JA Happ - gonna start him over Severino ? With  start like last night, you may not be able to get Severino out the game quick enough to give the team a chance to comeback - might be 4 or 6  to nothing by then and Game over get the Next Train outta the Bronx ..... SO the road trip continues to Seattle then Minnesota.  Back home to Toronto then Boston, then Baltimore, Off to Tampa and Boston for the end of the season.

An American Hero - John Mc Cain has decided to stop further treatment of his Brain Cancer. Senator McCain was a graduate of the Navel Academy in 1958.   He flew ground-attack aircraft from aircraft carriers. During the Vietnam War, he was almost killed in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire. While McCain was on a bombing mission over Hanoi in October 1967, he was shot down, seriously injured, and captured by the North Vietnamese. He was a prisoner of war until 1973. Read that as a POW for OVER 5 YEARS !! McCain experienced episodes of torture and refused an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer. Welcome to the Working Week

Ok we have moved from August to September, - an yet till Fuckin hot - Today, Tomorrow, and the next ,,, in the 90's !   My AC does not shut off !!

We have started the latest in the Others peoples home improvement projects,,, 
-ReRun the Cable inside a wall that feeds to upstairs Bedroom TV
-Remove the Faux wood beams from the  LR Ceiling and redo of the Ceiling
-New Sheet Rock to cover the Dark Paneling the LR
-Box Extension on all Electric Outlets and Switches.
- Med and Seal the rock, and Paint of Course
- Install new Crown moulding,,, (Remember that you cut that stuff upside down and backwards - or those angles just do not fit correctly)
the home occupants are away till the 14th of the Month so we have that long to finish,,, should be do-able.

Greatly looking forward to what will be a Week Vacation in November, and 10 + days in the Beginning of December to see  the Mouse !

Let's talka bout WTF went on on the Ladies room ...

A  flood of water around the sink, - the use of a what had to be a package of Hand towels that you filled the Toilet with ! along with toilet paper..  the you balled up a ton of Paper towels and stuffed them behind the Toilet in TWO stalls !!  Shaving cream - I guess that what it was all over the GD place.   So I imagine that you Bathed in the sink - then pulled out tons of Paper towels to dry your self in the Stall and after filling the toilet threw the rest behind the toilets !!  What a PIG !  No reason to act like this !! 


Nice Boat ride on the RIP  ! Down to Mills and Back to the Roundout , excellent food, and Music for the ride !!
