I think one of the telling statistics is their record in games decided by one run,... its 9 and 19 ,,,where the Bosox is 13-11 and tampa is 13 -14 ,,,,SO i am gonna do a John Sterling on you - you know - IF this or That happened then..............
Take that 9 and 19 and make .500 or 14-14 - that would give the Yanks 5 more wins and obviously 5 less losses..... make them 56 and 41 - a Game ahead of Boston , not 3 games behind. But that ain't the case - so they gotta play better when the games are close,.... their run differential is still a plus 102 - so they score lots of runs ,,, just in the wrong games... 60 some games to go,,, and we will see what happens...
Saw Doobie Brothers and Chicago at Bethel woods,,, Great Show - Really liked the Doobie Bros - 90 minute opening set, and Chicago has this Big sound with the Horns,,, they were really good too.... did our new concert strategy of leaving as soon as the band starts the Encore - and its keeping us out of these 1 and 2 hour (no shit on the times) traffic jams getting out of Bethel & SPAC . Amos Lee is next on Aug 5th - at the Theater in Rye NY,,, and if you are wondering -yes - I bought all these tickets before the Retirement decision....
