The 14th amendement

 

Today - The Supreme court will rule on  The 14th Amendment relevant to birthright citizenship is the Citizenship Clause, which reads: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.". 

WE should see - later today - how far the Supreme court is willing to go to destroy the Constitution - IMHO - this is the tip of the Iceberg - IF they overturn this - an amendment o the Constitution - then i Cannot even imagine what will come next - you already know that the Bought and paid for Justices - Thomas and Alito will vote to allow the POTUS to just change the constitution where he doesn't like it....  we will see how many others will join them  - adn how many will stand with the Constitution.... 

and just like that - the corrupt Curt has  started the destruction of the Republic...

We will NEVER recover from this,,,,

 Let's talk honestly - DO you really think that we as a nation can recover from the current Regime and thier policies. ??

First - It has not even been 6 Months of the Dump administration, and he and his MAGA nut jobs have managed to tank the Economy ,  Take away more and more rights that we have had as a Republic fot over 200 years, Dishonored us on the world stage to the point ht we are a laughing stock among other nations,  Talk of taking Greenland, and making Canada the 51st state. Taking Healthcare from Millions, defunding programs that help the poor and underprivileged people - destroying the Government from within in the name of refueling the pockets of Billionaires,  Defunding programs that will KILL Children, and seniors,   appointing all these totally unqualified people to very important positions that used to secure our Health and safety and support our military - but now onl look to bend the knee and kiss the ring of the Orange Jesus.  ICE agents and Masked , unidentified individuals kidnapping immigrants off our streets and out of their homes - Not violent criminals as they said but working people , men and women ,  transporting them and incarcerating them in forgien prisions that are = as the administrator has admitted are out the reach of our justice system and out of the view of the free press.  Talking about american Free Press as the Enemy of the state and using the same terms about anyone that dares to disagree with them or offer a conflicting viewpoint to the FAT NIXON's agenda.  Handing out talking points and pretending that those talking points are government policy -  LYING LYING LYING at every turn, and the doubling down on those lies when they are caught in them.   Sewing division into the US .vs THEM mentality.  Taking responsibility for NOTHING - it's always always, Biden or Obama or Clinton. NO member of the House or Senate staining. up and says Enough in F-ing Enough !  Calling for the Arrest, impeachment and/or deportation of those judges and elected officials that dare to even question them.  Giving us BS about states rights on the one hand and on the other looking to Authariting rule - see also - deploying the Military to LA to act against   AMERICAN CITIZENS !!   Using what is now a Extremely corrupt Supreme court to backing  their play at nearly every turn - supporting the POTUS to the disreguard of the LAW... 

Even of he was to leave office this afternoon - How long  ?  IF EVER -  do you think it would take for the Country to recover from just over 5 months of Tyranny ...???

WTF ?!?!?!  in History ???  I think the folks around the Manhattan project , D-Day - oh yea that D-Day,   and the Killing of Osama bin Laden to name a few that I can think of sitting here....   And Obliterated  - I think the ENTIRE cabinet got an Email that said they would get a bonus - maybe Trumpo Steaks - every time they use that word in the next week !!!

Homan - the so called Border Czar now thinks the border extends to NYC after the Democratic primary there had a guy win that he dont like, the Guy that supports destroying families, deporting Parents cause the broke the law by entering country illegally - a Civil charge - not criminal ...  and  we are spose to feel bad that he is being criticized by others on the left to the point he can't live with his family anymore - now no-one is suggesting violence against him and certainly not his familiy - but seroiusly - we are spose to feel bad for him ???

Bessent - thinks people that need help from the government to simply exist are LAZY .....that we should remove Federal assistance from them - LAZY>?!?!?  and  he works for guy that plays golf 25 % of the days since his inauguration in January - the WORLD burns = and the economy tanks , and Dumpo grifts money and Bessent thinks that folks that need a little hep TO SURVIVE -

I am more and MORE sceptical that we can ever recover fro what has gone on the past 150+ days - to say nothing of the Ongoing damage that is being done every day - and will continue mostly unchecked for the next THREE AND A HALF YEARS 

etiquette in Pickleball - really ???

 ok  - there has been discussion in a Pickleball group I follow about Court and play etiquette..

The subjects were Poaching  and Group of 4 playing together... and I am commenting on these as it is REC CENTER  - aka  Friendly play..aka = not tournament play... 

A) Poaching - this happens in every game - and I think when you can do it a - it is a good strategy.  Your opponent is waiting for the ball to be hit by player A - but player B jumps across and returns it instead - many times it has been successful - as they are not ready for the ball... and yep it has happened to me more times than I care to say - HOWEVER - this discussion was about one player constantly taking the ball  that is headed to  their partner  - to the point the partner and at times even the other team - says " hey - you gonna let me/them  play - or you taking all the shots " - now I guess it was directed to a younger and maybe more skilled playeer - but IMHO that makes it worse...  There is no Trophy to be gained here ...  NO checks handed out at the end of the day....   if you want to go get balls you think the other can't get - thats ONE OR TWO - fine,.  but this is REC Play - let it go =  think how it makes the other player feel .  when even being called out for it , and being spoken to by other players does not make you stop  - then I hate that the solution might be - NOPE - NO one is playing with them - wanna be a one person team - go hit balls by yourself.....  

I am going to expand this Poaching discussion to one team continually peppering the "weaker" player - again - Friendly play - NOT tournament.  I witnessed a few pissed off players when the opponents continually hit the ball to theless experienced player .  I gotta ask - If you do that .. Is that really fun for you ?? that whoa - you can slam the ball past a less experienced player ....   BFD..... and what fun for them ?? did someone do that to you when you were learning ?? when you were the less experienced player  ?? Gimme a break -   If you really are the more experienced player - act like it and get both of your opponents involved - 

 B) Group of four playing together ,... ok and I get it ...   your Group of four comes off the court and there are NOT  4 paddles in the next stack....   you don't wanna break up your 4 ....  OK - but 1) you DO NOT get to jump the line.... if there ain't 4 - then the court stays open till the next game ends that has a player or Players willing to join the less than 4 paddles waiting - too bad if a cour t has to stay open.   and I get it - you want to play competitive games - every game ....   and frankly no matter what skill level you are - or think you are - I have Questions.,....    Are you on the Pro Pickleball Tour ???  How long have you played this game. ??? a year - 2 years - or were you voted Ms/Mr Pickleball in your Grade-school Class ??  First day on the court you knew the rules,,, the scorings ? you were the one that defined Lobs and 3rd shot drops and you drew the first Kitchen line???  ya get my point. ?? as the kids say "you feel me" ??  NO ONE = NO ONE was born with a Joola Ben Johns in their hand....  everyone learned the game = so gimme a break - we have a responsibility to play games with players at all levels, and skills -  EVERY game ??  no - but enough games that others are included = and don't give advice or Coaching unless asked.,....   many players are just oth there to move and sweat a little , to get their heart pumping, and be part of the Group to converse and meet/greet others on a daily basis....  they might not be a 5.0 player and that is not their/our  goal.   i read a while back about - playing say 50-60 % of your games with people of equal skill level as yours,,,, and then 25-30 % of the games .vs people better than you - and the rest of players with skill level less that you (and maybe you work on drop shot or a lob or dinking in those games)  

and ok - let's talk about Unrequested  coaching  - Simple - DON'T DO IT !!!  - simple - DON'T do it ! keep your YAPP shut....

  If your partner asks you about where to stand or move ,, or how they can better return a shot,..  OK , thats your opportunity.. try criticizing your own play when you miss hit  a hit long or side out or into the net.   Saying things like "I know better than to make a full swing at a ball this close to the net - I know I should just kinda Punch it" or "darn - I need to get my paddle down close to the ground when that shot is returned high to the other side - man I gotta remember when their paddle goes up = mine needs to go down"  "whoa - they hit that serve hard - I have to take a step back from the End line so I can return it" ....  or darn it - look where I am - no man's land - I need to get closer to the Kitchen Line"   and like in managing people - sometimes the $hit Sandwich works best -  that's an improvement - sandwiched between two compliments..  "you really have that serve  down - you put it right in the  box every time .....  then remember the party is at the net - so when I move up - try to move up with me -  But keep getting that serve in - gives us great chance to win the point.. !!

6 doubles - no triples  - 1 - ONE homerun - 14 walks in 178 plate appearances... 43 Strikeouts that is 43 of 164 at bats or  26% of the time - STRIKE OUT !!    These are pathetic numbers --- 

And last night was awful - they had a man on 2nd in the bottom of the ninth via a Stanton double - Jazz strikes out - oh Doningues runs for Stanton - and why the hell isnt  Jazz taking a pitch or two to let the Martian steal 3rd - I have no clue - so K for Jazz - Volpe - on the craziest play hits the ball directly to 3rd exactly where Dominguez is sliding into 3rd - so he is OUT - 2 down - Volpe on 1st - Immediately steals 2nd - then - you you guessed it - Wells strikes out...

OK - lets go to the 10th - Wells is the ghost runner at 2nd - LeMahiue cannot get the bunt down  - and he Strikes out - then they pinch run Peraza for Wells - cause they did not move Wells to 3rd - Grisman flies  - moves Peraza to thrid Goldschmitt flies out - inning over.  

11 th - Down one run -  Goldschmitt on 2nd - they intentionally walk Judge -  who wouldn't - bellinger flies out - Goldschitt to 3rd... Domingues pop out to short infield - Goldschmitt out at home - 2 down - Judge to 3rd - Volpe out on a forces out domingues at 3rd - GAME OVER -

A Shadow Administration - and Cabinet positions

 I've read about this idea of forming a "Shadow" Cabinet - a Subject matter Expert qualified for each  position in the Cabinet - U.S. Attorney General; Secretaries of Agriculture; Commerce; Defense; Education; Energy; Health and Human Services; Homeland Security; Housing and Urban Development; Interior; Labor; State; Treasury; Transportation..... It  might just be the method to fight back against the insane administrative policies  - the Democrats need to do something more substantial than each of them seemingly fighting a one person war against this  administration. This would give them a centralized group to highlight, rebuff and then communicate with the American people - sure nothing will turn the MAGAs (like the guy with the DUMPO swimsuit at the beach yesterday) but will serve as a Resistance group - communicating why the Administrations is out and out LYING !  and how their  policies are killing the Constitution, the Democratic Republic and the American people...

A press conference being held by a random member of Congress criticizing, for example, Trump’s anti-labor policies won’t have anything close to the impact of the “Shadow Secretary of Labor” convening members of the press to hear a well-prepared presentation by a person fully qualified to be the next Labor Secretary. More credibility and more publicity.

Second, having Democrats fill the shadow equivalents of every major position in the Trump administration gives each of the prospective candidates for the next Democratic administration an opportunity to fully inform themselves about the issues facing, in this case labor, and thus prepares each shadow secretary to hit the ground running after the next election.

Turns out that it’s not just good politics; it could become one of the best and most essential tools to fight for democracy’s survival.
