Rapid Robert !

Bob Feller passed away yesterday at the age of 92.... this man was not only a great Baseball player, and outstanding pitcher,,, with a record of 266 and 162,,, an era of 3.25, and over 2500 strikeouts,,, Rapid Robert remains the best pitcher in Cleveland Indians history. an 8 time All Star, and a world Series Champ in 1948.. He was also a Great American,,,

but that is not the end of the Feller Story..on Dec 8th 1941 He Enlisted in the Navy ! remember what happened the day Before ??? Imagine - an All Star Pitcher today enlisting for Combat in Iraq ?!?!?

He Volunteered immediately for combat service, becoming the first Major League Player to do so following the attack on Pearl Harbor Feller served as Gun Captain aboard the USS Alabama and missed four seasons during his service, being decorated with five campaign ribbons and eight battle stars .. Feller is the only C.P.O. in the Baseball Hall of Fame

So I think all the offers have been made in the Cliff Lee deal,,,, must be pretty great having to decide on whose fortune to take,,,, and for how many years,,,, will he stay with Texas,,, or come to NYC. ??? or is there a third team out there,,, either way Mr Lee will be - if he is not already - a very rich man and his family for generations to come,.... I am betting he stays in Texas !

and as long as I am thinkin about it ....I DO NOT want to hear from any RED SOX fans about buying players, and championships,,, the Crawford deal was an over the top reaction to losing Teixeira - not the Carl Crawford is not a good player,,, or that he really makes their line up look much better,,,, He is and he will,..... just that - that kinda money is spent to WIN Pennants and World series,,, so - BO sox fans ,,, shut the !@%% UP !

Kim and I ran the Jingle JOG in Brooklyn yesterday,, in support of the Arthritis foundation,,,, it Poured, and was really wet the whole time,.....much smaller turnout than I expected,,,,the photos shows literally a thousand people,,,, there were less then 100,.... maybe the rain,,,??

Monday night football

so,, it was Howard Cosell,,, Monday night football with Frank Gifford,,, not news broadcasters,, but sports announcers, and "color" men for Monday night football,,,

The Patriots,,, and the Dolphins,,,,, the Pats are about to kick a game winning field goal,,,, when Gifford,,, says " I don' care what's on the line,,we have to say what we know in the booth" and Cosell takes over,,, Starts with the words "An unspeakable Tragedy" and ends with the words " Dead on Arrival"

Monday - Disney Hollywood Studios

Greetings,,,, ok,,, Very cold here,,,,, like 50's during the day and 30 at night,,,,, Walt's makin a fortune on the Sales of Hats, and Gloves, Sweatshirts,,,, and Quilts !

Ok slow start to today,,,, Breakfast , and got over to DHS near Noon,,,, after some shopping,,,, we walked over to see, and watch One mans Dream,,, essentially the Story of Walt Disney,,, then off to the Prime time Cafe for Lunch,,,, it was great,,,, Fried chicken and Meatloaf , like MOM made,,, and Huge portions,,,, Maureen got caught with elbows on the table,,, and Bob was fed his collard Green the Airplane Style,,, waitress was really good,,,,

I thought that there would be large crowds given what we saw at the entrance,,, but the Back Stage tour, and Lights, Motors, Action was not that Crowded ,,, although I am glad we got in the RIDE attractions the night before,,,, we saw Indiana Jones stunt spectacular,,,, , and Of Course ,,, My all time Fav - Fantasmic !! It;s the best show at Disney World,,, and the 8pm was not even full,,,guess the cold scared them away ,,,,,

Big Day on Tuesday,,,, Character Breakfast at Chrystal Palace,,,,with Pooh and Friends, Then off to Epcot,,, Holidays around the World,,, Dinner at Germany, and Candle Light Processional,,,,ya'll bring your hats, and gloves,,,,it's gonna be cold !!!!!!!!!!

Friday - good flight,,,, arrive a bit late as they started a detour from over the ocean back toward land,,,, seems a guy was havin a heart attack or something,,, they asked for a doctor,,, and lucky us one was on the flight,,,, all and all the guy walked off to the Paramedics,,,,, a bit scary for a few minutes when they call for all the medical equipment,,, O2, Defibrillator,,, etc,,,, EPCOT was good,,, everyone amazed at Illuminations !

Saturday,,, Magic Kingdom..... We did really well ,,, got to see many attractions,,, Hoop dee doo Musical, and that meal was as good as ever,,,, Cast was the same that we have seen in the past with one new Singer/dancer,,, Six Pence Slocum was same great guy !! Back to the MK for Late hours,,,, Main St Electric Parade,, NOT as good as Spectro Magic,,,, but Wishes fireworks,,, and Tink flying from the top of the Castle is always great !!!

Sunday,,,, Downtown and shopping,,,,, Lunch at Portobellos,,,, excellent !! The Move from OKW to Saratoga Springs, went flawlessly,,,, they moved Luggage, Food , everything,,, everyone likes this Villa Better,,, me too,,,, only that we are Waaaay away from everything,, and no pool at The Carousel,,, but its like 30 degrees , so not too much swimming,,, and it's really quiet out here,,,, We went to Hollywood studios for Extra Magic hours till midnight,,, I know,,, MIDNIGHT ! and there were few waits,,, we did Muppets,,, Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror,, Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster,,, Nice night,,,,

Monday - so we are back to the Studios today,,,, Lunch at the Prime Time Diner,,,,,and My All time Fav - FANTASMIC !!
